Australia's Top End
At the northernmost part of Down Under, in the Northern Territory of Australia Lies the Australian Top End. Home to the territory's major cities, Darwin, Palmerston and Katherine, The Top End is experiencing a tourism revival, not in it's towns, but rather due to a growing interest in the aboriginal civilization in the area. Camps, tours, and new initiatives are opening up access to Aboriginal Homelands and the efforts are expanding. With the new interest and gained access, visitors are seeing and experiencing first hand the area's aboriginal culture, and the rugged natural scenery of the Arnhem lands, and the Kakadu National Park, a world heritage.
This includes vast areas of grasslands, considered some of Australia most pristine and untouched ecoregions, and home to large populations of crocodiles, reptiles, and birds.
