Singapore Botanic Gardens:
Created in 1859, this beautiful tropical oasis, in the heart of Singapore, maintains part of its original charm as a leisure green space for the locals and visitors alike. it has over decades helped shape Singapore's image as a garden city.
Inside the gardens is The National Orchid Garden, with an extensive program of orchid studies and hybrid cultivation. The gardens have More than 10,000 species of plants with a multitude of insects and fauna that claim it as a home. it is spread over its 82-hectares and is the only tropical garden the world over that is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The gardens are also unique in that they are open from 5 AM to midnight.
